Free online library resources

Tulane Libraries hold nearly 4.6 million print volumes and more than 1.2 million eBooks. Its books include those in its circulating general collections and also many rare books in several special collections.

Library databases provide access to academic journals, newspapers, eBook platforms, image collections, data sets, and digitized primary sources. Tulane Libraries maintain licensed access to more than 900 library databases.

Tulane Libraries provide access to nearly 198,000 periodical titles online and nearly 58,000 print periodical titles, current or ceased. Periodicals include journals, magazines, newspapers, and other subscription resources.

Ya Librarian Resources

Tulane Libraries provide access to millions of articles from a wide range of periodicals and full-text databases.

Archives and special collections house unique, specialized or rare materials. These materials may be published or unpublished. Example formats include print books, manuscripts, visual materials like photographs, administrative records like those from a university, corporation, or government, architectural drawings, audio and film recordings, ephemera, and more.

The music and film collections at Howard-Tilton Memorial Library support the diverse research, teaching, and learning needs of the Tulane community.

Maps and other geographic resources are provided at a variety of locations among the Tulane Libraries.

The Tulane Digital Repository is your gateway to open access digital collections, scholarly works, and publications that support the teaching, research, and public service goals of the University.

Elementary School Library Resources

Howard-Tilton Memorial Library houses an extensive collection of newspapers, magazines, unpublished archival material, and rare books on microfilm and microfiche. Much of this material has never been digitized for online access nor has it been published in print.

Tulane University Libraries provides access to a broad range of historical and contemporary local, national, and international newspapers.

Tulane Libraries collect, house, and provide access to a wide range of U.S. federal and Louisiana state government documents.
