Tucked into the shadow of Grindstone Mountain, Hidden Hills Farm & Saddle Club is a 500 acre, five generation family farm just outside of scenic Chattanooga, Tennessee. Our family run, multi-faceted farmstead is devoted to sharing the simple, hard-earned pleasures and values of farm life. Established in 1976, the Stony Hill Stables Summer Camp Program was the very first of its kind in the Hamptons. With more than 40 years of experience, we are proud to offer four unique camps which accommodate riders of many ages and skill levels.
Stay at the farm! We are 30 minutes from downtown Chattanooga, within an hour of almost any outdoor adventure you'd like to experience, and just 5 minutes from fine dining, fast food, and (ugh) Walmart. Yet the farm maintains an 'away from it all' feel, with mountains for a backdrop and farm- and wildlife at the backdoor.
We host guests in two cozy RVs, set in mostly private locations on the farm. Guests are welcome to all that the farm has to offer.
Reservations can be made through Airbnb or directly through us by calling 423-987-3993.
The Guest Cabin is a cozy, rustic, hand-built log cabin, decorated for the horse lover (or at least admirer) in all of us. Set in the woods across a little wet-weather creek from parking, the Guest Cabin has a view of whole riding facility. The main living area is simply furnished with a small table and chairs and futon that opens into a full sized bed; the kitchen area is complete with an old-fashioned gas stove, refrigerator, and microwave and contains most of the basics. A small bathroom includes a shower to wash the barn dust off.
The Avion is an upgrade of the Airstream with a fun, vintage feel. The queen bed in the bedroom is made up on a thick memory foam mattress, the bathroom includes a stand up shower and small tub, and the kitchen has a nice sized fridge and freezer, stove and oven, and is outfitted with most of your basic necessities. The dining table folds out of the way for a cozy living room feel, or converts into a small bed that could fit up to two extra guests snugly. There is also a couch that converts into a bed.

The Casita, or 'little house' (think tiny), is a delightful way to 'almost rough it'! Complete with an almost full-sized bed prettily made up on a memory foam pad, a small inside table, toilet and shower-ette, small refrigerator, heating and air, and an outside awning with table and chairs, it is the perfect way to 'get away from it all', and yet still be within 5 minutes of town. Please note: The Casita is perfect for the 'vertically challenged.' Everyone else might have to mind their noggins. Also note that the table can be converted into a small bed for a 3rd person if needed.
This is a primitive camping shelter. It is great for an intimate camping trip or a larger group that wants to be together outside for the weekend. The space includes a sleeping platform like you might find on the Appalachian Trail which comfortably sleeps at least 6 (we've lined up 15 before!), as well as plenty of room and trees outside the shelter for tents and extra hammocks. A fire pit with cooking grate and a simple table and bench are provided for your outdoor cooking pleasure, and a tank of potable water and a simple outhouse complete the outdoor experience. Please note: We do not provide bedding for this adventure.
The camping area is an open field surrounded by forest, trails and, in the summer, fireflies. There is a fire ring, a porta toilet, and water barrel with potable water. This site is for people looking to camp but still be close to Chattanooga. For years we have hosted small groups, church youth and college organizations at the site. Due to its secluded nature you truly have to know someone to have been introduced to it.

Thousand Hills Riding Stable started in 2008, when Yvonne realized there was a need for families with very young children to be introduced to horses.
Yvonne is a Certified Horsemanship Association Level 2 instructor as well as a mother and Licensed Veterinary Technician. She has been teaching since 2006 and has a passion to mold the next generation of equestrians.
We are located right in the middle of horse and wine country in Delaplane, Va. conveniently off Route 66 at Exit 27.

Thousand Hills Riding Stable provides a down home country environment for your child to learn the art of horsemanship. We invite you to bring the family and a picnic and enjoy our beautiful property.
We provide boarding, riding lessons, events such as trail ride lessons and coaching at local horse shows. Our ponies are safe and loving. They will not only teach your child to love horses but they will touch their hearts. You will most likely be greeted with a nicker every time you visit. Our ponies look forward to each and every child.
We specialize in teaching children as young as two years old and therefore only offer private and semi-private lessons. Lessons can be scheduled in 30, 45 or 60 minute sessions. Lessons include all aspects of horsemanship from the ground as well as in the saddle.
